Większość kierowców, zwłaszcza tych z kilkuletnim doświadczeniem, wie, że akumulatory zaliczają się do wrażliwych elementów wyposażenia. Nie tylko mają stosunkowo krótki żywot, ale też są podatne na usterki. Wiele osób zastanawia się jednak, czy są one całkowicie bezpieczne i nie mają negatywnego wpływu na sprawność akumulatora. Wybór pomiędzy zewnętrznym akumulatorem a niewielkim powerbankiem czy jump starterem zależy przede wszystkim od mocy i pojemności silnika, który ma uruchamiać. Przy mocnych jednostkach napędowych znacznie lepiej sprawdzi się klasyczny starter samochodowy.

Nie ma wątpliwości, że wspomagacz rozruchu jest przydatnym produktem, który pomoże kierowcy wydostać się z opresji, gdy nagle zawiedzie akumulator. Jednak aby dobrze spełniał swoje zadanie, ważne jest odpowiednie dobranie go do mocy silnika samochodu. To właśnie ona jest podstawowym, chociaż nie jedynym kryterium.
